Weather Forces Cancellation of United Rebel Sprint Series Event at Salina Speedway
SALINA, Kan. — The United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS) has announced the cancellation of tonight’s National Tour event scheduled at Salina Speedway due to inclement weather. The decision was made in collaboration with track officials following an unfavorable weather forecast predicting significant rainfall throughout the evening.
This cancellation truncates what was intended to be an exciting doubleheader weekend for the URSS, following last night’s event at SaltCity Racing in Hutchinson, Kansas. While Friday’s races proceeded as planned, the deteriorating weather conditions have made it unsafe and impractical to hold tonight’s competition at Salina Speedway.
“We always strive to provide thrilling and safe racing experiences for our fans and drivers,” said URSS Series Director Kyler Fetters. “Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us this weekend. The safety of our teams and spectators is our top priority, and with the forecasted weather, we believe canceling tonight’s event is the most responsible decision.”
The URSS extends its gratitude to all fans, drivers, and teams for their understanding and continued support. The series looks forward to returning to Salina Speedway on September 6, 2025, for the next scheduled National Tour race.
