URSS-United Rebel Sprint Series
Jeremy Huish Hustles to URSS Victory at SaltCity Racing in Hutchinson
April 25, 2025 — Hutchinson, KS — The United Rebel Sprint Series brought high-speed thrills and early chaos to the Kansas State Fairgrounds as SaltCity Racing hosted 17 of the region’s best on Friday night. When the dust settled after 15 action-packed laps, Jetmore’s Jeremy Huish emerged victorious in the No. 88J.
Huish, who started outside the front row, wasted little time challenging polesitter Jeremy Campbell. After surviving a pair of early red flags that reshuffled the field, Huish hit his stride mid-race, working the bottom groove and executing a clean pass for the lead. He managed lapped traffic smoothly in the closing circuits to lock down the win.
"It feels really good to be back out with our own car" stated Huish in the post race interview. "I wish we didn't have the incidents at the beginning but hopefully we all can shake the rust off heading into tomorrows race" he added.
The race began with fireworks, as two separate red flag incidents slowed the pace. The first involved the 97 of Brian Herbert and the 81 of Jon Freeman, both of whom saw their nights end early. A second red shortly after caught up the 33 of Koby Walters, who also exited the race prematurely. Despite the chaos, the remaining laps ran clean, clocking the total race time at just over 28 minutes.
Campbell, the night’s quick qualifier and Heat 1 winner, led early before finishing runner-up in the 51 machine. Jordan Knight made it a strong night for the Knight family, finishing third in the 88 after starting fourth.
Steven Richardson held steady in fourth, and veteran Ray Seemann rounded out the top five. Brayton Dewell passed four cars to finish sixth, while Johnny Boos moved from 12th to 7th in a solid run through the field.
The URSS now looks ahead to its next stop in the 2025 campaign on Saturday April 26th as the tour will make its scheduled stop at the Salina Speedway for the first time since 2020.
