Jordan Knight Triumphs After Late-Race Battle at Lincoln County Raceway

North Platte, NE (July 5, 2025) — It was a dramatic night of racing at Lincoln County Raceway as the United Rebel Sprint Series delivered a high-octane showdown that kept fans on their feet until the very last lap.
Early race leader Don Droud Jr., piloting the No. 1M, looked unstoppable from the drop of the green flag. Droud set a blistering pace, controlling the field and building a comfortable lead. But the night took an unexpected turn just past the halfway point when his engine began to overheat, forcing him to pull off the track and end what had looked like a dominant run.
That opened the door for Jordan Knight, representing Dodge City, KS, who inherited the lead with a hungry field behind him. As the laps wound down, Knight found himself in a fierce duel with Monte Ferreira of Lincoln, NE. The two traded the top spot in a breathtaking exchange, with Ferreira managing to edge ahead for a single lap. But Knight would not be denied — retaking the lead shortly after and charging to the checkered flag.
Knight’s victory came after a poised and calculated drive, fending off pressure and seizing opportunity when it mattered most. Ferreira, who showed impressive speed and racecraft, settled for a hard-fought second place.
Rounding out the podium was Ty Williams of Arcadia, OK, who stayed steady throughout the event to claim a solid third-place finish.

Thrilling finishes, tough luck, and wheel-to-wheel action — North Platte delivered a night to remember.
