Huish Hustles to Tumbleweed Classic Victory at Dodge City

DODGE CITY, Kan. (May 3, 2025) — Jeremy Huish returned to familiar territory Saturday night and once again proved why he’s one of the most dominant forces in 305 sprint car racing. The Jetmore, Kansas native led flag-to-flag in the United Rebel Sprint Series feature during the Tumbleweed Classic at Dodge City Raceway Park, claiming his sixth career win at Dodge City and 15th URSS victory overall.

Huish started on the outside of the front row and quickly set the pace in the 25-lap feature, navigating multiple cautions and lapped traffic with precision. He held off a strong charge from Wright, Kansas driver Jordan Knight, who brought his No. 88 machine home in second after a consistent run from the second row.

Oklahoma’s Jake Martens made moves throughout the field, advancing from seventh to finish third. Polesitter Tyler Knight finished fourth, while Koby Walters capped off the top five after climbing from the 12th starting spot.

The race was marred by a scary moment on lap 10 when Braxton Dewell flipped his No. 112 in turn two. Dewell climbed out under his own power and was unharmed.

Rookie driver Kelby Fetters turned heads with a solid performance, moving forward from 13th to score his first URSS top-10 finish in 10th place.

Earlier in the evening, Tyler Knight, Jordan Knight, and Steven Richardson claimed heat race victories. Richardson looked strong in his heat but was sidelined early in the feature after starting third.

The A-Feature field featured 21 entries and took just over 30 minutes to complete.

Up next, the United Rebel Sprint Series hits the road for a Friday night stop at Salt City Speedway in Hutchinson on May 9, followed by a return to Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday, May 10.
