    Doubleheader Weekend on Tap for United Rebel Late Models May 2–3

    4/29/2025 Dodge City, Ks - The United Rebel Late Model Series is set for a high powered doubleheader this weekend, kicking off Friday, May 2 at Beaver County Raceway in Beaver, Oklahoma, before heading north to Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday, May 3 for the rescheduled Tumbleweed Classic — now featuring an increased payout of $1,000 to win and $250 to start.

    This two-day weekend marks a key early stretch in the season as drivers look to rack up points, build momentum, and chase big money on back-to-back nights of racing.

    Storylines to Watch: Veterans vs. Youth and Momentum on the Line
    • Delbert Smith continues to be the measuring stick for success in the Late Models, and his experience could pay dividends at both Beaver County’s tight bullring and Dodge City’s wide 3/8-mile.
    • Dan Smith thrives on slick surfaces and long-run consistency — expect him to be a major factor as the weekend unfolds.
    • Josh Leonard is carrying strong early-season form into this stretch and will be aiming for nothing less than a sweep.
    • Braxton Berry, a rising young star in the series, has shown flashes of brilliance and is inching closer to his first marquee win.
