Marissa Peters-Vargas Joins 2025 Rookie Class in United Rebel Sprint Series
2/20/2025 (Wichita, Kansas) — Marissa Peters-Vargas is set to make her highly anticipated debut in the United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS) in 2025, bringing two decades of experience in dirt kart racing and non-wing micros to the winged sprint car ranks.
A decorated driver with multiple karting championships and a non-wing micro championship to her name, Peters-Vargas is no stranger to competition. However, the transition to a winged sprint car presents an exciting new challenge as she prepares to compete against some of the best in the series.
Her 2025 race schedule includes a mix of weekly races at Dodge City and select URSS events, with key stops at Salina, and Longdale Speedway.

• April 19 – Dodge City
• April 26 – Salina
• May 3 – Dodge City
• May 10 – Dodge City
• May 17 – Longdale
• June 28 – Dodge City
• July 12 – Dodge City

• August 16 – Dodge City

• September 27 – Dodge City
Peters-Vargas, the niece of well-known car owner Ojar Peters, brings a wealth of knowledge and racecraft to the track. While she has extensive experience, competing in a winged sprint car will be a new endeavor—one she is eager to embrace.
“I’m excited to take on this new challenge in the URSS and test myself against such a competitive field,” said Peters-Vargas. “I’ve been fortunate to have a strong foundation in karting and non-wing micros, and now I’m ready to push myself even further in a winged sprint car.”
