Steven Richardson Set to Chase Title with Cranston Racing Team in 2025
2/14/2025 Dodge City, Kansas (www.urssracing.com) - Steven Richardson, Liberal, Kansas, will join Cranston Racing Team next year after finishing his 2024 campaign 2nd in the points standings. In the midst of the off-season, multiple drivers have announced their commitment to the United Rebels for the next season including names like Chad Salem, Jordan Knight and Jeremy Huish. After the announcement was made earlier this week that Jeremy Huish would be stepping down from the #20 Cranston Racing Team, the question lingered on who will fill the void?
Richardson, who has run with the series for over a decade under his own operation, will now chase a title with a team that has won many of them before. “It’s exciting for sure. Said Steven Richardson. “We know the Crantson’s having a winning tradition and it will be a good opportunity for me as a driver to grow” he added.
With 18 career wins including three last season with the United Rebel Sprint Series, Richardson sits in 8th for All-Time wins in the series. “We definitely had some luck not fall our way last year during the championship hunt,” said Richardson. “We went into the speedweek only -2 points, and getting caught up in two wrecks in four nights pushed us back -100 points” Richardson finished.
